Jeanette Laredo is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of North Texas who specializes in late eighteenth-and nineteenth-century British literature, from Walpole to Stoker. She is completing her dissertation entitled “Trauma and Narrative Structure in Late-Eighteenth and Nineteenth-Century Gothic Literature” which examines how the narrative ruptures of Gothic narratives are symptomatic of trauma.
